Chirton is fortunate in having a lively C of E primary school in the middle of the village. There is an associated pre-school in the same spacious grounds.
In the pre-school there are two leaders who provide an imaginative introduction to schooling in a dedicated classroom. Primary school children are taught in two classes by two full-time teachers together with two part-time teachers. The school enables each child to develop as an individual while being supported by a close caring "family".
